Introduction:

This is the continuation of my Mass Effect 1 character (also submitted), Raven. Due to the loss of my save files for the game during a botched backup and reinstall of Windows, I needed to recover my progress for Mass Effect 3. As a result the playthrough this save comes from was a nearly complete achievement run. My old save was imported, and the entire game with all DLC was completed on Insanity.

The sole achievement this playthrough did NOT unlock was Paramour. (I reloaded and got that after the run, just to have it again.) I chose not to unlock it because I wanted to stay faithful to Ashley. Despite being a badass, I’m loyal.

This was a heavy Renegade run. (100% Renegade on the bar.)

Additional Details from ME2:

- I did not do Liara’s pre Shadow-Broker quests, instead I (through whatever choice of dialogue, I have no clue) skipped them. Oops.
- I shot Conrad in the foot.
- The Rachini are alive.
- To the best of my knowledge I did every mission and assignment and optional side task in the game barring four. The two noted above for Liara, and the final two of the Blue Suns missions: MSV Strontium Mule and Blue Suns Base. (It would not be hard to finish off these last two missions if someone wanted to after the fact. But I seriously doubt they matter that much in ME3, and after the 50+ hours this playthrough took me, I’m feeling about done until ME3 is out next week.)
- In The Lost Operative I chose to keep the data for myself.

- I recruited all squad members, and I completed all loyalty missions.
- Kasumi’s greybox was destroyed.
- I killed Morinth.
- Garrus shot Sidonis.
- Kel’Reegar died doing his duty.
- Tali was cleared during her trial through my use of intimidation.
- I cannot remember what I did with the Quarians regarding continuing to fight or seeking peace with the Geth. I tend to suspect I would have chosen to encourage conflict.
- The Genophage cure was destroyed.
- The Heretics were indoctrinated.
- The factory workers died, and so did Vido.
- David remained with the project.
- I did not warn the Batarians.

- All crew and squad mates survived the Suicide Mission.

Note: This is a cheat save. Due to lack of time before ME3 came out I ended up using cheat codes in ME1 and the Maxatv coalesced.ini mod in ME2, as well as a save editor in ME2 to give myself tons of resources. This may or may not affect things in ME3; however all decisions were made in-game and mods were just so that combat went by more quickly.

Choices were generally Paragon, though did use Renegade quite a few times, especially early on dealing with the Cerberus crew. Both gauges are full because cheats D:

Inadvertantly walked in to Romance dialogue with Jack after romancing Tali, so this may affect ME3.

Special note: When I played this character, in “non-essential situations” where it wasn’t a major choice, I chose to always pick the “middle dialogue option” if there was one. That’s how I differentiated this particular Shepard from most Paragon and Renegade Shepards, just as a test so I could see what the middle dialogues sounded like (and why I put him in the “Mixed” alignment section). So my recommendation for importing this character to Mass Effect 3 is to use him to test out middle dialogue options in 3 also.

Another note: As of Mass Effect 2 this character is pro-Cerberus (which does not necessarily mean anti-alien in his case, he’s pro-Cerberus not pro-Terra-Firma), so in some situations where there wasn’t a middle ground, I went with Cerberus.

Mass Effect 1 stuff:

-Romanced no one in Mass Effect 1, so I could romance Miranda in Mass Effect 2 without cheating on anyone.
- Ashley is still alive to meet on Horizon; Kaidan was sacrificed on Virmire.
- Wrex is alive.
- Didn’t even recruit Garrus this time around, so I first met him as Archangel in Mass Effect 2.
- Human Council after sacrificing alien council.

- Rachni are alive, so I met the asari spokesperson on Illium.
- Spared Fist and didn’t bring Wrex along so Wrex wouldn’t kill him, so I met him again in the Omega bar.

- Got ALMOST all team members including Zaeed and Kasumi. However, you’ll notice I didn’t include Legion in the survivors’ list. I didn’t get him killed in the suicide mission; he’s not in the list because I chose to hand his body over to Cerberus after the Reaper IFF mission.
- Kasumi’s greybox was destroyed.
- Killed Morinth, kept Samara.
- Let Garrus kill Sidonis but only after hearing Sidonis’ confession first (so I’d get the “no more sleepless nights” dialogue)).
- Kal’Reegar survived.
- Tali was exiled from the flotilla (but since I didn’t reveal Rael’s crimes I still earned Tali’s loyalty).
- Did not encourage the quarians either way, pro-war or anti-war. I just thanked them for the honor of being allowed to defend Tali.
- Allowed Mordin to kill Maelon.
- Destroyed genophage cure data, but with the “slightly nicer option” of telling Mordin destroying it would be less risky rather than outright telling him genophage was the right call.
- Legion’s loyalty mission decision not applicable since I gave his derelict body over to Cerberus, so did not get a chance to either destroy or rewrite heretic geth.
- Saved the hostages and let Vido get away, but successfully earned Zaeed’s loyalty anyway by using a Charm option.
- Kept David hooked up to Project Overlord.
- Attempted to contact Joker instead of attempting to warn the batarians before Kenson cut me off in Arrival.
- Chose “Assault Rifle Training” on Collector Ship mission.

- Did all loyalty quests (at least to those I recruited since I didn’t recruit Legion), all squad members that I actually had survived Omega 4 relay.
- All of my kidnapped crew survived since I went through Omega 4 relay right after they were kidnapped.

Note #1: I used the Gibbed save editor to change his name to Viktor and I used a “Viktor Shepard” face code, plus I had my own ideas for an “Incompetent Shepard” so I altered a few of the “ME1 plot flags” and made a few different ME2 decisions. But I kept his idea of having only Miranda and Morinth survive. So that shouldn’t be Samara in the survivors’ list; that should be Morinth along with Miranda, but there’s no “Morinth” checklist option.

Note #2: As said above, I played this as an “Incompentent Shepard.” As few sidequests as possible that I couldn’t screw up so I “rushed through” the game, lots of killings, etc. I advise players to use this “incompetent Shepard” to get the worst possible ending in Mass Effect 3, the one the Bioware staff said would happen if you just rushed through the game or screwed up a lot, just to see what happens.

- Did not romance anyone in Mass Effect 1 so I could romance Kelly Chambers in Mass Effect 2 without cheating/guilt.

- Killed Samara and kept Morinth; I needed at least two squad members to survive so Shepard wouldn’t die himself, and Morinth is automatically loyal upon recruitment.

- Tali was not exiled from the flotilla, but I revealed the evidence proving Rael’s guilt so I still lost Tali’s loyalty despite Tali being exonerated of all guilt.

- The only other loyal squad member besides Morinth was Miranda; I played her loyalty quest and saved her sister but I did not encourage Miranda to talk to Oriana.
- In one of Viktor’s few competent decisions, I saved Kelly and the other Cerberus crew members immediately upon their kidnapping, so I could continue Viktor’s romance with Kelly without Kelly being dead.

I used Gibbed save editor mostly to remove the Liara Mass Effect 1 romance so I could romance Jack without “cheating on anyone” and having negative consequences in Mass Effect 3, and then I did a New Game + so I could use a “Cole Shepard” face code from masseffect2saves.info.

This is an “ironic Shepard” who romanced Jack, yet is simultaneously “pro-Cerberus” (but not anti-alien most of the time, hence the Mixed section instead of Renegade). I know I’ve been uploading a lot of either Renegade or pro-Cerberus Shepards. I mostly play Paragons, but there are so many 100% Paragon saves on this site ALREADY that I thought players deserved some original saves.

Mass Effect 1 Stuff:
- Did not have a romance in Mass Effect 1 because I used Gibbed to edit the original save to reset Liara’s values so I could romance Jack monogamously in Mass Effect 2.
- Ashley is alive, Kaidan is dead.
- Wrex is alive.
- Abandoned alien council, now human council.

Mass Effect 2 Stuff:
- Did both of Liara’s quests, played Lair of the Shadow Broker.

- Unfortunately my memory’s a little fuzzy on what I did in Thane’s loyalty mission. I know I killed Joram Talid myself, and I know I didn’t let Kolyat go to jail, but I don’t remember whether I convinced Bailey to put Kolyat in community service or in C-Sec.
- Destroyed heretic geth.
- Let the hostages die so Zaeed could kill Vido.
- Let Kasumi keep Keiji’s greybox.
- Let Cerberus keep David hooked up to Project Overlord.
- Attempted to contact Joker on the Normandy instead of attempting to warn the Batarians…I think (my memory’s a little fuzzy about Arrival too).

My ‘canon’ ME2 playthrough. Did every quest, acquired every upgrade and saved everyone.

Big decisions mostly Paragon, treatment of strangers mostly Renegade so generally mixed character. Visually both bars equally full but Samara doesn’t tell me that she’ll kill me once the oath has expired so I guess there’s slightly more Paragon points.
